The chapter
What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
The workers carry “the weapons of righteousness” in both hands, pass through beatings and sleepless nights, and somehow emerge poor yet making many rich, with nothing and everything at once.
The workers, armed on both sidesvv. 1–13
The appeal begins in the present tense: now is the time of favor, now the day of salvation. The speakers offer their ministry a remarkably crowded passport—troubles, riots, hunger, purity, kindness, truthful speech, and the power of God—before producing the chapter’s splendidly specific equipment: righteousness in both hands. Their public reputation behaves no more sensibly than their possessions: glory and dishonor, slander and praise, imposters yet genuine, unknown yet well-known. At the centre of it all, their hearts stand open wide to the Corinthians, whose affection, rather pointedly, is said to be the thing under restraint.
A house with no room for idolsvv. 14–18
The chapter turns from the workers’ strange double ledger to a series of questions about incompatible companions: righteousness and wickedness, light and darkness, Christ and Belial, believer and unbeliever. The temple of the living God is then given a voice of its own: God will dwell and walk among the people, and the commands follow in brisk succession—come out, be separate, touch no unclean thing. The final promise makes the household language wonderfully expansive: sons and daughters, with the Lord Almighty named as Father.

2 Cor 6:1As God’s fellow workers, then, we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.
2 Cor 6:2For He says: “In the time of favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!
2 Cor 6:3We put no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no one can discredit our ministry.
2 Cor 6:4Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships, and calamities;
2 Cor 6:5in beatings, imprisonments, and riots; in labor, sleepless nights, and hunger;
2 Cor 6:6in purity, knowledge, patience, and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;
2 Cor 6:7in truthful speech and in the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left;
2 Cor 6:8through glory and dishonor, slander and praise; viewed as imposters, yet genuine;
2 Cor 6:9unknown, yet well-known; dying, and yet we live on; punished, yet not killed;
2 Cor 6:10sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
2 Cor 6:11We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians. Our hearts are open wide.
2 Cor 6:12It is not our affection, but yours, that is restrained.
2 Cor 6:13As a fair exchange—I speak as to my children—open wide your hearts also.
2 Cor 6:14Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
2 Cor 6:15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
2 Cor 6:16What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.”
2 Cor 6:17“Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”
2 Cor 6:18And: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Named in the Hebrew or Greek somewhere in this chapter, under a form the English renders differently — the registry's Ludim against the translation's Ludites — so there is no word in the sentence to hang the link on.
