Description

Who was Asen?

In the words of STEPBible TIPNR:

Asen was the ancestor of a group of people who returned to Jerusalem from the Babylonian captivity (Neh. 7:24). According to the records, 223 individuals from Asen's family were among those who made the journey back to their homeland. The return of the exiles to Jerusalem was a significant event in Jewish history, as it marked the beginning of the restoration of their religious and cultural identity after decades of captivity in Babylon. The mention of Asen and the number of his descendants highlights the importance of family lineage and the preservation of ancestral records among the returning exiles.

Relations

Direct connections

The kinship import reads the registry's own columns — parent, child, sibling, spouse — for every entity in it, and records none here. An extracted relation would be listed beside them, and none names this person either.

Not stated

No family is recorded for this person.

Places

Where this happens

A person is placed by the events they take part in, and an event has to clear three things to place them: it must say where it happened, that place must be one the gazetteer can put a coordinate on, and the verse must report it rather than foretell, command or ask it. Nothing anchored here clears all three. Where the text names a setting no gazetteer surveys — a vineyard, a palace, a plot of ground — it is left off rather than guessed at; where a place is named only in a prophecy, the map does not draw what was said to be coming as though it had happened; and a place reached only through a relation is not inherited, because standing beside somebody is not being somewhere.

No verse Atlas has read as a report puts this person anywhere.

The pattern

Where Asen is named

The identity spine attests this entity at an address the edition carried here does not contain, so there is nothing to place on the corpus and the reference is stated instead.

Asen is named in no verse of the Berean Standard Bible (v5.7). What the identity spine records for it is an address outside this edition, noted below.

One further reference is not a verse of this edition — LXX.Neh.7.24. A Septuagint address, a bracketed reading, or a compound string the source never resolves. It is all this entity is attested by, so nothing is drawn above.

Where to read it

The registry attests it once, at an address no edition in this build contains — a Septuagint reference, or a compound string the source never resolves. Attested where Atlas does not read is not attested nowhere.

No verse of this edition carries this entity.
