The coastline is a modern one, simplified; no border, road or settlement of any period is drawn, and no line joins two points, because the rows state where and not in what order.Azal

Description

Azal in the text

In the words of STEPBible TIPNR:

Azal is mentioned only once in the Bible, in Zechariah 14:5, as part of a prophetic vision concerning the Day of the Lord. In this passage, Zechariah describes a time when the Lord will stand on the Mount of Olives, causing it to split in two, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. The people are then instructed to flee to the valley between the mountains, which will reach "to Azal." The exact location of Azal is unknown, but based on the context, it appears to be a place near Jerusalem, possibly a village or landmark in the vicinity of the Mount of Olives.

The pattern

Where Azal is named

Every book of the corpus in the order it is read, each as wide as the chapters it holds. A bar is the verses of that book which write the name, and the flat stretches are as much of the answer as the bars.

1 verse across 1 of 66 books; 65 write the name nowhere. Named in Zechariah (1).

Azal is named in 1 verse — occurrences of the name in the Hebrew or Greek, counted in the versification of the Berean Standard Bible (v5.7). Every book of the corpus is drawn, its width its share of the 1,189 chapters. 65 of the 66 books never write it. A verse that tells of this subject without writing the name is not counted here.
