The coastline is a modern one, simplified; no border, road or settlement of any period is drawn, and no line joins two points, because the rows state where and not in what order.Pelusium

Description

Pelusium in the text

In the words of STEPBible TIPNR:

Pelusium, referred to as Sin in the Hebrew Bible, was an ancient Egyptian city located in the northeastern Nile Delta, near the Mediterranean Sea. It is mentioned in the Book of Ezekiel as part of a prophecy against Egypt (Ezek. 30:15-16). Ezekiel foretells that God will pour out His wrath upon Sin (Pelusium) and cut off the multitude of No (Thebes), indicating that Pelusium would face divine judgment along with other major Egyptian cities. Historically, Pelusium served as a strategic frontier fortress and was known for its role in defending Egypt against foreign invasions. The city was also an important commercial center, situated at the crossroads of trade routes between Egypt, the Levant, and the Mediterranean world. Although the biblical references to Pelusium are limited, its inclusion in Ezekiel's prophecy highlights its significance in ancient Egypt.

Relations

Direct connections

Every entity the graph places in a stated relation with this one, grouped by the kind of link. Each relation is authored once and its inverse derived, so both ends always agree. Rows marked “registry” come from the identity spine rather than from a verse, and a row marked “which bearer is the source’s decision” is one where the name could have meant more than one person. The last group is not a relation at all — it counts the events two entities stand in together.

2 verses across 1 of 66 books; 65 write the name nowhere. Named in Ezekiel (2).

Pelusium is named in 2 verses — occurrences of the name in the Hebrew or Greek, counted in the versification of the Berean Standard Bible (v5.7). Every book of the corpus is drawn, its width its share of the 1,189 chapters. 65 of the 66 books never write it. A verse that tells of this subject without writing the name is not counted here.
