The chapter

What happens here

Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.

David’s vision of abundance ends not with treasure, but with oxen bearing great loads—and, rather grandly, with no cry of lament in the streets.

The Rock who trains the handsvv. 1–8

David begins with the LORD as rock, fortress, shield, and deliverer—the one who trains his hands for war and subdues peoples beneath him. Then the scale abruptly changes: man is only a breath and a passing shadow, while the LORD is asked to part the heavens, touch the mountains until they smoke, and rescue David from deep waters and deceitful foreigners.

A new song, with the old danger still in itvv. 9–11

David promises a new song on a ten-stringed harp to the God who gives victory to kings and frees His servant from the deadly sword. Yet the plea immediately returns, almost carrying its luggage back into the room: rescue from the same foreigners, with the same false mouths and deceitful right hands.

Plants, pillars, and heavily laden oxenvv. 12–15

The hoped-for future arrives as a household and farm inventory. Sons are young plants, daughters are carved palace pillars—a sudden exchange of garden for architecture—while storehouses overflow, flocks multiply, and oxen bear great loads. The final blessing gathers it all together: happy the people whose God is the LORD.

Who else the chapter reaches

Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.

Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
