Where the story of Straight happens Where the gazetteer locates Straight, framed to them: Straight. Each dot is a coordinate from the gazetteer. The coastline is a modern one, simplified; no border, road or settlement of any period is drawn, and no line joins two points, because the rows state where and not in what order.Straight

Description

Straight in the text

In the words of STEPBible TIPNR:

Straight was the name of a street in Damascus where Saul (later known as Paul) stayed in the house of a man named Judas after his dramatic conversion on the road to Damascus (Act.9.11). It was on this street that Ananias found Saul, as instructed by the Lord in a vision, and restored his sight. The Straight Street in Damascus is still known by this name today and is believed to follow the course of the ancient Roman road, the Via Recta, which ran from east to west through the city.

The pattern

Where Straight is named

Every book of the corpus in the order it is read, each as wide as the chapters it holds. A bar is the verses of that book which write the name, and the flat stretches are as much of the answer as the bars.

1 verse across 1 of 66 books; 65 write the name nowhere. Named in Acts (1).

Straight is named in 1 verse — occurrences of the name in the Hebrew or Greek, counted in the versification of the Berean Standard Bible (v5.7). Every book of the corpus is drawn, its width its share of the 1,189 chapters. 65 of the 66 books never write it. A verse that tells of this subject without writing the name is not counted here.
