Description

Tabor Mount in the text

In the words of STEPBible TIPNR:

Mount Tabor is a prominent mountain located in the Jezreel Valley of Israel. It is mentioned several times in the Bible, most notably in the account of Deborah and Barak's victory over Sisera and the Canaanite army (Judg. 4:6-14). Deborah, a prophetess and judge, summoned Barak to gather troops from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun on Mount Tabor. From there, they descended to fight against Sisera's forces, and with God's help, they achieved a decisive victory. Mount Tabor is also mentioned as a boundary marker for the tribe of Zebulun (Josh. 19:22) and is praised for its beauty along with Mount Hermon in Psalm 89:12. The prophet Jeremiah uses Mount Tabor as a symbol of God's power and majesty (Jer. 46:18), while Hosea associates it with sites of idolatry and corruption (Hos. 5:1).

Relations

Direct connections

Every entity the graph places in a stated relation with this one, grouped by the kind of link. Each relation is authored once and its inverse derived, so both ends always agree. Rows marked “registry” come from the identity spine rather than from a verse, and a row marked “which bearer is the source’s decision” is one where the name could have meant more than one person. The last group is not a relation at all — it counts the events two entities stand in together.

Tabor Mount is named in 8 verses — occurrences of the name in the Hebrew or Greek, counted in the versification of the Berean Standard Bible (v5.7). Every book of the corpus is drawn, its width its share of the 1,189 chapters. 61 of the 66 books never write it. A verse that tells of this subject without writing the name is not counted here.
