Where the story of Tower of the Hundred happens Tower of the Hundred, and 3 places the claims reach, framed to them: Tower_of_the_Hundred, Fish_Gate, Sheep_Gate, Yeshanah_Gate. Each dot is a coordinate from the gazetteer. The coastline is a modern one, simplified; no border, road or settlement of any period is drawn, and no line joins two points, because the rows state where and not in what order.Tower_of_the_HundredFish_Gate

Description

Tower of the Hundred in the text

In the words of STEPBible TIPNR:

The Tower of the Hundred, also known as the Tower of Meah, is mentioned twice in the book of Nehemiah in the context of rebuilding Jerusalem's walls. In Nehemiah 3:1, it is recorded that the high priest Eliashib and his fellow priests rebuilt the Sheep Gate and consecrated it, continuing their work as far as the Tower of the Hundred and the Tower of Hananel. The tower is mentioned again in Nehemiah 12:39, where it is listed among the landmarks along the route of the dedication procession for the newly rebuilt walls. The exact location of the Tower of the Hundred is not specified, but it was likely situated on the northern side of Jerusalem, in close proximity to the Tower of Hananel and the Sheep Gate. The significance of the name "Tower of the Hundred" is uncertain, but it may have referred to the tower's height, the number of its steps, or the number of soldiers stationed there.

Relations

Direct connections

Every entity the graph places in a stated relation with this one, grouped by the kind of link. Each relation is authored once and its inverse derived, so both ends always agree. Rows marked “registry” come from the identity spine rather than from a verse, and a row marked “which bearer is the source’s decision” is one where the name could have meant more than one person. The last group is not a relation at all — it counts the events two entities stand in together.

The pattern

Where Tower of the Hundred is named

Every book of the corpus in the order it is read, each as wide as the chapters it holds. A bar is the verses of that book which write the name, and the flat stretches are as much of the answer as the bars.

2 verses across 1 of 66 books; 65 write the name nowhere. Named in Nehemiah (2).

Tower of the Hundred is named in 2 verses — occurrences of the name in the Hebrew or Greek, counted in the versification of the Berean Standard Bible (v5.7). Every book of the corpus is drawn, its width its share of the 1,189 chapters. 65 of the 66 books never write it. A verse that tells of this subject without writing the name is not counted here.
