Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
Haman counts his wealth, his sons, the king’s honours, and a private banquet with Esther; then one man sitting at the gate spoils the lot, which is a remarkably small gate for so much misery.
The queen delays her requestvv. 1–8
On the third day, Esther enters the inner court in royal robes while the king sits facing the entrance. He extends the gold scepter, and she touches its tip. Twice he offers her anything up to half the kingdom; twice the great request remains just out of reach. Esther asks instead that the king and Haman come to her banquet, and at the first banquet she postpones the answer until tomorrow’s.
The gate spoils the banquetvv. 9–14
Haman leaves the banquet full of joy, but at the king’s gate Mordecai neither rises nor trembles, and Haman’s joy turns to rage. At home, Haman displays his wealth, sons, honours, promotions, and exclusive invitations, yet admits that none satisfies him while Mordecai remains seated at the gate. Zeresh and his friends propose a gallows fifty cubits high, followed by the cheerful instruction to enjoy the banquet; Haman likes the advice and has the gallows built.

Esth 5:1On the third day, Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace across from the king’s quarters. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the royal courtroom, facing the entrance.
Esth 5:2As soon as the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she found favor in his sight. The king extended the gold scepter in his hand toward Esther, and she approached and touched the tip of the scepter.
Esth 5:3“What is it, Queen Esther?” the king inquired. “What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be given to you.”
Esth 5:4“If it pleases the king,” Esther replied, “may the king and Haman come today to the banquet I have prepared for the king.”
Esth 5:5“Hurry,” commanded the king, “and bring Haman, so we can do as Esther has requested.” So the king and Haman went to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
Esth 5:6And as they drank their wine, the king said to Esther, “What is your petition? It will be given to you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be fulfilled.”
Esth 5:7Esther replied, “This is my petition and my request:
Esth 5:8If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, may the king and Haman come tomorrow to the banquet I will prepare for them. Then I will answer the king’s question.”
Esth 5:9That day Haman went out full of joy and glad of heart. At the king’s gate, however, he saw Mordecai, who did not rise or tremble in fear at his presence. And Haman was filled with rage toward Mordecai.
Esth 5:10Nevertheless, Haman restrained himself and went home. And calling for his friends and his wife Zeresh,
Esth 5:11Haman recounted to them his glorious wealth, his many sons, and all the ways the king had honored and promoted him over the other officials and servants.
Esth 5:12“What is more,” Haman added, “Queen Esther invited no one but me to join the king at the banquet she prepared, and I am invited back tomorrow along with the king.
Esth 5:13Yet none of this satisfies me as long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.”
Esth 5:14His wife Zeresh and all his friends told him, “Have them build a gallows fifty cubits high, and ask the king in the morning to have Mordecai hanged on it. Then go to the banquet with the king and enjoy yourself.” The advice pleased Haman, and he had the gallows constructed.

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
