Every verse links to the people and places named in it, and to the passages readers connect it with.
The chapter
What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
The promised rest is approached with effort, yet entered by ceasing from one’s own work—a splendidly awkward arrangement.
A rest with a date attachedvv. 1–11
The promise still stands, though some who heard the good news failed to enter because of disobedience. Then comes the chapter’s wonderfully vague address: God spoke “somewhere” about the seventh day, and much later designated another day simply as “Today.” Joshua’s rest, it turns out, was not the final appointment; there remains a Sabbath rest, and the way into it involves making every effort to stop one’s own work.
The word that leaves nowhere to hidevv. 12–13
The scene turns from the promised rest to the word of God, which is alive, active, and armed with a double edge. It reaches through soul and spirit, joints and marrow, then judges thoughts and intentions. Nothing in creation manages a hiding place; everything lies uncovered before the one to whom account must be given.
The high priest at the thronevv. 14–16
After all that exposure, the passage names Jesus as the great high priest who has passed through the heavens. He is not unable to sympathize with weakness: he was tempted in every way, yet was without sin. The final movement is towards the throne of grace, where mercy and grace are found in time of need.

Heb 4:1Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it.
Heb 4:2For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it.
Heb 4:3Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world.
Heb 4:4For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this manner: “And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.”
Heb 4:5And again, as He says in the passage above: “They shall never enter My rest.”
Heb 4:6Since, then, it remains for some to enter His rest, and since those who formerly heard the good news did not enter because of their disobedience,
Heb 4:7God again designated a certain day as “Today,” when a long time later He spoke through David as was just stated: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
Heb 4:8For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.
Heb 4:9There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
Heb 4:10For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His.
Heb 4:11Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.
Heb 4:12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Heb 4:13Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Heb 4:14Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess.
Heb 4:15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin.
Heb 4:16Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
