What happens here

Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.

The men who sharpen their tongues like snakes discover that their own lips may furnish the trouble covering their heads.

A net along the pathvv. 1–8

David asks the LORD to rescue and guard him from men who devise evil, stir up war, and scheme to make him stumble. Their snares, cords, nets, and lures are laid out with almost fussy thoroughness; even their tongues have been sharpened into weapons. David answers this menace by naming the LORD as his God and the strength of his salvation, asking that the wicked man's desires and plans not be promoted.

The lips answer for themselvesvv. 9–13

The prayer turns upon those who surround David: the trouble caused by their lips is asked to cover their own heads. Burning coals, fire, and miry pits follow, while the slanderer is denied a settled place in the land and calamity hunts the man of violence. Then the psalm leaves the enemies behind and rests on the LORD's justice for the poor and needy, ending with the righteous praising the name of the LORD and the upright dwelling in his presence.

Who else the chapter reaches

Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.

Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
