Every verse links to the people and places named in it, and to the passages readers connect it with.

What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
One of their own prophets calls Cretans liars, and Paul says, “This testimony is true.”
An unfinished commission in Cretevv. 1–9
Paul introduces himself as servant and apostle, carrying a promise of eternal life made before time began and a proclamation entrusted to him by God. Titus is his true child in the common faith, left in Crete to set unfinished matters in order and appoint elders in every town. The elder’s household, temper, table, wallet, hospitality, discipline, and grip on the faithful word all come under inspection; it is a remarkably comprehensive doorway into church government.
The prophet, the accusation, and the mirrorvv. 10–16
Many are described as rebellious, empty-talking, deceptive household-underminers, with dishonorable gain tucked neatly into the charge. Then comes the famous local testimony, followed at once by Paul’s solemn confirmation of it—a sweeping accusation carrying its own witness. Titus is told to rebuke them sternly, while myths and human commands are dismissed. The closing symmetry is tidier: purity spreads purity, defilement spoils everything, and those who profess to know God deny him by their actions.

Titus 1:1Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness,
Titus 1:2in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.
Titus 1:3In His own time He has made His word evident in the proclamation entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior.
Titus 1:4To Titus, my true child in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
Titus 1:5The reason I left you in Crete was that you would set in order what was unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.
Titus 1:6An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, having children who are believers and who are not open to accusation of indiscretion or insubordination.
Titus 1:7As God’s steward, an overseer must be above reproach—not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not greedy for money.
Titus 1:8Instead, he must be hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined.
Titus 1:9He must hold firmly to the faithful word as it was taught, so that he can encourage others by sound teaching and refute those who contradict it.
Titus 1:10For many are rebellious and full of empty talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision,
Titus 1:11who must be silenced. For the sake of dishonorable gain, they undermine entire households and teach things they should not.
Titus 1:12As one of their own prophets has said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”
Titus 1:13This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sternly, so that they will be sound in the faith
Titus 1:14and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of men who have rejected the truth.
Titus 1:15To the pure, all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. Indeed, both their minds and their consciences are defiled.
Titus 1:16They profess to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
