What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
The LORD promises to gather a scattered people with a whistle—and then bring them back until Gilead and Lebanon have no room left.
Rain, shepherds, and a battle steedvv. 1–5
The chapter opens with rain requested in springtime, while the LORD makes the storm clouds and gives showers and crops. Against that plain weather comes the less fruitful speech of idols and diviners, whose deceit, illusions, false dreams, and empty comfort leave the people wandering like sheep without a shepherd. The LORD’s anger falls on the shepherds and leaders, but Judah is taken up as His flock and made like a royal steed in battle: cornerstone, tent peg, bow, and rulers all arriving from the same quarter. The resulting army tramples the enemy in the mire and puts the horsemen to shame, which is a remarkably muddy end for a prophecy that began with rain.
The whistle and the overflowing returnvv. 6–12
The LORD then turns from battle to restoration. He strengthens Judah, saves Joseph, and says compassion has altered the condition of the rejected; Ephraim becomes mighty, and its children rejoice. The gathering itself is done by whistle—an unexpectedly homely summons placed beside redemption—and the people, once sown among the nations, remember the LORD in distant lands. They return from Egypt and Assyria to Gilead and Lebanon until there is no room left for them. Even the journey is dramatic: the sea of distress is crossed, the waves are struck, the depths of the Nile dry up, Assyria’s pride is brought down, and Egypt’s scepter departs. The final movement is a walk in the LORD’s name, after all that gathering.

Zech 10:1Ask the LORD for rain in springtime; the LORD makes the storm clouds, and He will give everyone showers of rain and crops in the field.
Zech 10:2For idols speak deceit and diviners see illusions; they tell false dreams and offer empty comfort. Therefore the people wander like sheep, oppressed for lack of a shepherd.
Zech 10:3“My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders. For the LORD of Hosts attends to His flock, the house of Judah; He will make them like His royal steed in battle.
Zech 10:4The cornerstone will come from Judah, the tent peg from him, as well as the battle bow and every ruler together.
Zech 10:5They will be like mighty men in battle, trampling the enemy in the mire of the streets. They will fight because the LORD is with them, and they will put the horsemen to shame.
Zech 10:6I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them, and they will be as though I had not rejected them. For I am the LORD their God, and I will answer them.
Zech 10:7Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their hearts will be glad as with wine. Their children will see it and be joyful; their hearts will rejoice in the LORD.
Zech 10:8I will whistle for them to gather, for I have redeemed them; and they will be as numerous as they once were.
Zech 10:9Though I sow them among the nations, they will remember Me in distant lands; they and their children will live and return.
Zech 10:10I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon until no more room is found for them.
Zech 10:11They will pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves of the sea; all the depths of the Nile will dry up. The pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart.
Zech 10:12I will strengthen them in the LORD, and in His name they will walk,” declares the LORD.

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
