Description

Hadashah in the text

In the words of STEPBible TIPNR:

Hadashah was a town mentioned in the list of cities and towns allotted to the tribe of Judah during the division of the Promised Land. It was located in the Shephelah, the lowland region between the central hill country of Judah and the coastal plain (Joshua 15:37). The Shephelah was known for its fertile lands and was an important agricultural area. The mention of Hadashah in the list of Judah's towns suggests that it was a significant settlement in the region during the time of Joshua. However, apart from this single reference in the book of Joshua, no further information about Hadashah is provided in the Bible. Its exact location and history remain uncertain, as the town is not mentioned in any other biblical accounts or in known extra-biblical sources.

The pattern

Where Hadashah is named

Every book of the corpus in the order it is read, each as wide as the chapters it holds. A bar is the verses of that book which write the name, and the flat stretches are as much of the answer as the bars.

1 verse across 1 of 66 books; 65 write the name nowhere. Named in Joshua (1).

Hadashah is named in 1 verse — occurrences of the name in the Hebrew or Greek, counted in the versification of the Berean Standard Bible (v5.7). Every book of the corpus is drawn, its width its share of the 1,189 chapters. 65 of the 66 books never write it. A verse that tells of this subject without writing the name is not counted here.
