The chapter
What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
Solomon’s daily table required thirty cors of fine flour, sixty cors of meal, thirty oxen, a hundred sheep, and then deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened poultry—as if supper had been appointed by an especially ambitious quartermaster.
The machinery of the kingdomvv. 1–19
Solomon ruled Israel with a court arranged almost like a well-stocked cabinet: priests, secretaries, a recorder, an army commander, an adviser, a palace master, and Adoniram in charge of forced labor. Then came the twelve governors, each assigned a month of provisions. Their districts run across the map in a grand procession, from Ephraim and Makaz to Naphtali, Asher, Issachar, Benjamin, and Gilead. The list is admirably practical, pausing for such details as a daughter of Solomon being married to one governor, and Argob possessing sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars. After the twelve names, the account adds, with a small unexplained flourish, that there was also one governor in Judah.
A kingdom fed to the brimvv. 20–28
The people of Judah and Israel were numerous, cheerful, and well supplied. Solomon’s rule stretched from the Euphrates to the border of Egypt, while tribute came in and the surrounding kingdoms served him. The household’s daily allowance is then counted out with remarkable composure: flour, meal, oxen, sheep, game, and poultry. Peace sat on every side, and people lived securely from Dan to Beersheba, each under his own vine and fig tree. The governors kept the table full, and also delivered barley and straw for the horses—four thousand stalls and twelve thousand horses being waiting in the wings.
The king who knew trees and fishvv. 29–34
Then the chapter changes its measure. God gave Solomon wisdom, deep insight, and understanding beyond measure, compared once more with the sand on the seashore. He surpassed the wisdom of Egypt and the men of the East, and even the named sages Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. His output was counted too: three thousand proverbs and a thousand and five songs. His teaching ranged from the cedar of Lebanon to hyssop in a wall, and from animals and birds to reptiles and fish. Men came from all nations to listen, sent by kings who had heard of him; a very large audience for a man who had apparently begun by discussing plants.

1 Kgs 4:20The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore, and they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.
1 Kgs 4:21And Solomon reigned over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These kingdoms offered tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
1 Kgs 4:22Solomon’s provisions for a single day were thirty cors of fine flour, sixty cors of meal,
1 Kgs 4:23ten fat oxen, twenty range oxen, and a hundred sheep, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened poultry.
1 Kgs 4:24For Solomon had dominion over everything west of the Euphrates—over all the kingdoms from Tiphsah to Gaza—and he had peace on all sides.
1 Kgs 4:25Throughout the days of Solomon, Judah and Israel dwelt securely from Dan to Beersheba, each man under his own vine and his own fig tree.
1 Kgs 4:26Solomon had 4,000 stalls for his chariot horses and 12,000 horses.
1 Kgs 4:27Each month the governors in turn provided food for King Solomon and all who came to his table. They saw to it that nothing was lacking.
1 Kgs 4:28Each one also brought to the required place their quotas of barley and straw for the chariot horses and other horses.
1 Kgs 4:29And God gave Solomon wisdom, exceedingly deep insight, and understanding beyond measure, like the sand on the seashore.
1 Kgs 4:30Solomon’s wisdom was greater than that of all the men of the East, greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.
1 Kgs 4:31He was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread throughout the surrounding nations.
1 Kgs 4:32Solomon composed three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered a thousand and five.
1 Kgs 4:33He spoke of trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop growing in the wall, and he taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.
1 Kgs 4:34So men of all nations came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Named in the Hebrew or Greek somewhere in this chapter, under a form the English renders differently — the registry's Ludim against the translation's Ludites — so there is no word in the sentence to hang the link on.

Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
