The chapter
What happens here
Atlas's own reading, written from this chapter and nothing else, and published only once a person has approved it. Each scene names the verses it covers; the names inside it link to the people and places they name.
A hunted animal or bird must have its blood drained and covered with dirt, while the chapter briefly forbids sacrifices to goat demons to whom Israel has “prostituted themselves.”
Every sacrifice brought to the Tentvv. 1–9
The LORD speaks to Moses, who is to address Aaron, his sons, and all Israel. An ox, lamb, or goat slaughtered in the camp or outside it must instead be brought to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting; otherwise the slaughterer incurs bloodguilt and is cut off. The priest splatters the blood on the altar and burns the fat, and sacrifices are no longer to be offered to the goat demons. The same rule reaches any foreigner living among Israel: a burnt offering or sacrifice belongs at the Tent’s entrance, or its offerer is cut off.
Blood, life, and the evening washvv. 10–16
The prohibition then turns from where an offering is made to what may be eaten. No Israelite or foreigner living among them may eat blood, because the life of flesh is in the blood, which has been given on the altar to make atonement. A hunted animal or bird has its blood drained and covered with dirt—an admirably ordinary patch of earth in the middle of these solemn instructions. Meat found dead or mauled brings a practical uncleanness: clothes are washed, the body is bathed, and evening does the rest. Neglecting those acts leaves the person bearing the iniquity.

Lev 17:2“Speak to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites and tell them this is what the LORD has commanded:
Lev 17:3‘Anyone from the house of Israel who slaughters an ox, a lamb, or a goat in the camp or outside of it
Lev 17:4instead of bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to present it as an offering to the LORD before His tabernacle—that man shall incur bloodguilt. He has shed blood and must be cut off from among his people.
Lev 17:5For this reason the Israelites will bring to the LORD the sacrifices they have been offering in the open fields. They are to bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and offer them as sacrifices of peace offerings to the LORD.
Lev 17:6The priest will then splatter the blood on the altar of the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
Lev 17:7They must no longer offer their sacrifices to the goat demons to which they have prostituted themselves. This will be a permanent statute for them for the generations to come.’
Lev 17:8Tell them that if anyone from the house of Israel or any foreigner living among them offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice
Lev 17:9but does not bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to the LORD, that man must be cut off from his people.
Lev 17:10If anyone from the house of Israel or a foreigner living among them eats any blood, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from among his people.
Lev 17:11For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for your souls upon the altar; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.
Lev 17:12Therefore I say to the Israelites, ‘None of you may eat blood, nor may any foreigner living among you eat blood.’
Lev 17:13And if any Israelite or foreigner living among them hunts down a wild animal or bird that may be eaten, he must drain its blood and cover it with dirt.
Lev 17:14For the life of all flesh is its blood. Therefore I have told the Israelites, ‘You must not eat the blood of any living thing, because the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it must be cut off.’
Lev 17:15And any person, whether native or foreigner, who eats anything found dead or mauled by wild beasts must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening; then he will be clean.
Lev 17:16But if he does not wash his clothes and bathe himself, then he shall bear his iniquity.”

Who else the chapter reaches
Names written in the English are linked in the text above. These are the ones that are not: an entity the Hebrew or Greek names under a spelling the translation does not use, or one reached only by an assertion about a verse of this chapter.
Named in the Hebrew or Greek somewhere in this chapter, under a form the English renders differently — the registry's Ludim against the translation's Ludites — so there is no word in the sentence to hang the link on.
Reached by an assertion Atlas extracted from a verse of this chapter rather than by a name written in it — a pronoun, a title, or a participant the sentence carries without naming. This layer is model-read and measured at 88.6–90.3% precision, and it is kept separate from the names above for that reason.
