יֻטָּה

Juttah, a town in the hill country of Judah, was designated as a Levitical city (Joshua 15:55; 21:16).

Where the story of Juttah happens Where the gazetteer locates Juttah, framed to them: Juttah. Each dot is a coordinate from the gazetteer. The coastline is a modern one, simplified; no border, road or settlement of any period is drawn, and no line joins two points, because the rows state where and not in what order.Juttah

Description

Juttah in the text

In the words of STEPBible TIPNR:

Juttah was a town located in the hill country of Judah (Joshua 15:55). It was one of the cities given to the Levites, specifically to the descendants of Aaron, as a place to live (Joshua 21:16). The town is mentioned only twice in the Bible, and no further information about its history or significance is provided. Its exact location is uncertain, but it was likely situated in the southern part of the hill country of Judah.

Where Juttah is named

Juttah is named in 2 verses — occurrences of the name in the Hebrew or Greek, counted in the versification of the Berean Standard Bible (v5.7). Every book of the corpus is drawn, its width its share of the 1,189 chapters. 65 of the 66 books never write it. A verse that tells of this subject without writing the name is not counted here.
